Ol taking Jack & band to Stephenville for football game. – Hot weather.
[Granddad was a ‘Band Dad’ too. Dan & Pam spent 16 years, ’92 to ’08, chaperoning, hauling equipment and riding "yellow dog" buses.]

Red Cross Nat. Ex. Here to inspect Canteen. We all worked. – Hot weather. – Geo looks bad. – Took temp. 104°. – Pups came today.

Geo has fever. – something he ate, we thought. – cooler weather, high fever & chills. Broke out in puffy welts & red rash. – Turned out to be typhus fever. – sick at tummy a little he’s lucky

1907 Literary Club meets at Mrs. Ford Bradish – Can’t go on account of Geo. – Geo temp runs to 104°. – I have to keep it down with aspirin. – Chill, then fever.

Mended clothes all day. – A.M. & Geo wired for $250.00 for furniture. – Ol sent it but sent a note to sign. – Also night club at Wyatt’s. – Rain

Ol has nice Birthday. – Stayed home in bed until 5 P.M. Waited on Pool family George lots better, but still in …? – Jingles lost one pup.
