Meeting of Canteen Unit here to plan a way to buy our equipment. Marvin & Elbertine going to N.Y. to appear on Hobby Lobby.

Hobby Lobby was a radio show that started as a summer replacement for The Jack Benny Show. Comments on the internet indicate that no recordings are available.

Clean house for Tea.

Registered for sugar 2 hrs. N. Ft. Worth Garden Club at Rockwood Golf Course took 1 Second, 3 Thirds, and 1 fourth. Dinner out with OL. Bridge Club at Burseys.

Tea for Mr. Armstrong here a lovely affair. Shrine Ball game at night.

Straightened up house returned what was borrowed had lunch with Ester Ruth Sharp. Bridge in evening at Sam Callaways.

Bought gro. & Mothers Day Gifts. Coffee with Neta. Heard Marvin on Hobby Lobby, drove.

No Sunday School Mothers Day a lovely day at home. Fellowship with Alice Marie, Ol worked Rummey with Burks.

The usual Monday morn. Except no washing it is raining. I am to judge at flower show at 2PM for Poly Garden Club.

Transplanted Iris all day. We called on O. D. Wyatts in evening he has been ill, saw Cecil Odon, Lollioos Sister

Is Lollios O. D.s wife?

Installed as Finance Chairman for N.S.H.S P.T.A. late as usual worked with Iris again. Ollie went to Camp Fire Banquet.

Town in afternoon to buy George some clothes & me some shoes. Ollie went to dinner party. Alice M. helped Frank on lessons.

Cleaned utility closed on staris, hairdresser. Gave report of canteen feeding at Canteen meeting. Shower for Edna Callaway. Sent gift didnt go. Boys attended 1B Play. Alice M. at party for Fellowship at Brants.

Ollie at El Tesoro for week-end. Had accepted invitation to Dinner Party with Bryan Gregorys at Colonial, and Ma is having Pas Birthday dinner his birthday was yesterday. Cancelled with Gregorys.

Sunday School. Picture show in evening Triple xxx later

What did Triple xxx mean in 1942?
Answer: Tripple xxx was a root beer, sandwich, malt etc stand on north main. It was owned by C. C. Cross; a very good friend of Munnie and Grand-dad.

Garden Club tea at Margaret Petteways lovely, all except the singing. Mrs Browse read The White Cliffs of Dover Beautiful.

Cleaned house all day had cocktail party for Shrine Patrol attended dance later. Margaret Petteway stayed all night with us.

Had breakfast with Neta as usual just existed today. Oliver making the Shrine Ceremonial. I played rummie with folks at the house lost as usual.

Sunday School. Rested all day.

Laundry, Town, Program at school. Jack sang Trees real good.
