Ollie is working a few days in the Defense Bond office. Ol & I went to a picture show tonight.

Digging out, sewing.

Sunday School luncheon at Irene Kundts. Elect them Pres. Then they have to work. I resigned Tribune Chairman too much to do at home.

Canned Peas most all day.

Breakfast with Neta (didn’t go) Haircut & shampoo. Alice M. had wisdom tooth pulled.

Visited Puggy Chestnuts at their ranch rode horse back, in wagon & left our car for the Geo Melena’s to bring in it sure rained. Had the best time I have in ages.

Labor Day, Ol worked, I straightened things up, Jingles had puppies all day has 6 black ones.

Made 3 trips to town picture show in eve. Have nibble on 12 acres. Ol may go to Army to get things settled.

Worked in house. Night Club at Reynold’s. Public Schools started two boys Jack enters N.S.H.S.

Marzelle & Jack left to go live with Bradley in Chicago sure hated top see them go.

Ollie & Sarah Chlorformed 3 puppies & cut tails off the other 3. I have a deep cold & cough.

Took George to Dr. for azma waited in office for two hrs. then will have to go back Monday. Dr’s are really busy. A.M. went to dance at Casino – Bill Anthony. Ollie saw a picture show with Sarah.

Ol took boys down to River to fish. Ollie working in war bond office.

Canteen meeting 2PM Gas Auditorium. George to Dr. at 9AM. Jack & Bill to Dr. (wrong day) Picture show in eve. Jack sings for Mexican Mission.

Boys to Dr. Howard, Carrie came to wash. Would love to ship all negros back to Africia, Ollie worked after school. Alice Marie blew off at work.

Garden Club, I left George with Carrie while she irons, Mrs. Melton has yard & Home that are beautiful but house isn’t used too much it’s perfect. Ollie works after school & at night.

Took George to Luncheon at Colonial for Johnnie Pumphrey he did OK

Ol sent to Stag Party, I took Sanders wedding gift, Betty Thomas spent weekend with us. A.M. had wisdom tooth out.

Stayed home all day & cooked. Betty still here.

Canteen meeting took George took Mrs. Walker down town to outfit her for ambulance service.

Have Nursing Com. Meeting. Night Club here. Canteen works in Lovelace’s store giving balanced menues.

Ol & I saw “Wake Island” had to buy defense Bond’s to get in, good picture, large crowd.

hairdresser. Draft Board had dinner with Albert Tadlocks lovely time.

Dinner with the Arch Parnum he is leaving for job in Austin. Worked this morn. At Lovelace for Canteen.

Went to Huntsville to take Mrs. McClure’s father who died last night left here at 1:15 PM got in at 11PM

Did Munnie drive this solo? Close to 250 mi RT before I.H. sys was invented.

Ol has 43rd birthday dinner with Ma he had a nice day except for the work. Sold my bed springs & mattress I had when I was a girl have to get rid of a few things.

Ol went to Dallas been notified no caskets will be made except the real cheap ones.

Ol went fishing, stayed all night. George turned up with fever 101.
